Your cat's age: 4 years
Method. Common rule of thumb: year one ≈ 15, year two ≈ 24, then about 4 per year. It is a comparison, not a prediction of lifespan.

Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the cat age calculator?
The calculator uses a non-linear conversion model based on the International Cat Care life-stage chart. The first two years age fastest in human terms; after that growth slows. It is an estimate — your vet can assess biological age more precisely.
Does the tool store any data about me or my cat?
No. All calculations happen in your browser and nothing is transmitted to any server. There is no account, no tracking of individual pets, and no advertising profile built from your input.
How do I calculate how much to feed my cat?
The feeding calculator (coming soon) will use your cat's weight and life situation to estimate daily calorie needs, following the WSAVA Global Nutrition Guidelines. For now, see our feeding guide for a worked example.
What life stages does the calculator cover?
The calculator maps ages 1–20 years across five stages: Kitten, Junior, Adult, Mature, and Senior/Geriatric. These stages follow the AAFP/AAHA life-stage definitions.
